Diana Tejera
Singer-songwriter
Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Diana Tejera made her debut with the group Fiori d'Acqua Dolce, performing the Battisti/Mogol song “Il Paradiso non è qui.” In 1998, she joined the female duo Pink!, where she penned the group’s hit debut album. By 2000, the duo expanded to four members and rebranded as Plastico, winning the eleventh San Marino Festival and participating in the 2002 Sanremo Festival.
Tejera has collaborated with Tiziano Ferro, composed award-winning music for film and television, and performed alongside Paola Turci. In 2012, she published Al cuore fa bene fare le scale, a collection of poems and songs resulting from her collaboration with poet Patrizia Cavalli (Voland/Sunnybit), who accompanied her on tours in Italy and abroad. She has also worked with the Orchestra of Piazza Vittorio and composed a song for the documentary Las Leonas (2022). Furthermore, she wrote the soundtrack for My Poems Will Not Change the World, a documentary dedicated to Patrizia Cavalli, which was presented at the 2023 Venice Film Festival. Two of her songs were featured in the documentary Chutzpah – Something About Modesty, which received a nomination for a David di Donatello Award in 2024.
