A graduate of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, actor Iaia Forte made her debut alongside Toni Servillo and has had a long-standing collaboration with the theatre collective Teatri Uniti. On stage, she has worked with notable directors including Leo De Berardinis, Mario Martone, Carlo Cecchi, Federico Tiezzi, Valerio Binasco, Emma Dante, Alfonso Santagata, and Luca Ronconi, participating in some of the most critically acclaimed productions of recent years.
She made her film debut in Libera (1993) directed by Pappi Corsicato and later collaborated with the same director on Black Holes (1995), Iana’s Ancestry in the anthology film The Vesuvians (1997), Chimera (2001), and Il volto di un’altra (2012). Additionally, she has worked with Maurizio Nichetti, Marco Ferreri, Tonino De Bernardi, Mario Martone, Renato De Maria, Marco Risi, Peter Greenaway, and Paolo Sorrentino. Her accolades include two Silver Ribbons, a Golden Globe, a Golden Ciak, and a Sacher Award for Best Leading Actress. She gained further recognition for her role in the critically acclaimed The Great Beauty (2013) directed by Paolo Sorrentino.
