Aya Kimura is an associate professor at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, specialising in museology and the study of Lithuania. She has translated several Lithuanian works into Japanese, including the graphic novel Siberian Haiku (2017). In 2024, she was awarded the Poezijos pavasaris (Poetry Spring) prize for her translation efforts.
