Ene Selart is a lecturer at the University of Tartu’s Institute of Social Studies, specialising in media history. Her research focuses on the historical relations between Japan and Estonia covered in Estonian media, mainly through nineteenth century travelogues about Japan and the Russo-Japanese war (1904–05). She also teaches Japanese history at the University.
