On 14 October, this year's Kakehashi Literature Prize winner Robert Menasse will answer questions from Walter Vogl, until recently Professor of German Studies at Keio University. Menasse's Europe novels have received a great deal of attention, some of them acclaimed by the press, but rarely controversial. At the event, the author will read excerpts from the novels and give the audience a deeper insight into his literary work, which will be honoured by the EU Ambassador to Japan, Jean-Eric Paquet.
