Join us for the launch event of the Feuilles d'Automne festival, a literary programme by the Institut Français du Japon. In conversation with Fukuoka University Associate Professor Asako Muraishi, French novelist Dominique Barberis will present her book Une façon d’aimer, which won the Grand Prix du Roman from the Académie française in 2023 and was a finalist for the Choix Goncourt du Japon. Through a dialogue between past and present, she will discuss the creative process behind her story about family, its intimacy and secrets, which unveils the sometimes-darker side of mundane life.
