Yūki Nagae is a poet who views poetry not just as a textual form but as an “action.” She has been developing her concept of “poetry in action,” employing natural objects like water and digital media as poetic tools, and has performed both in Japan and internationally, including at the Musée de Saint-Rémy in France. Recently, she has participated in various art festivals, such as MIND TRAIL Okuyamato: Museum in the Heart (2020), and has organised her own sound art projects, including GeoPossession: Topos of Voice (2022) and The Touch of the City in the Skin of Poetry (2022). Nagae explores diverse forms and perceptions of poetry that transcend disciplinary boundaries, deconstructing the environment and society through a poetic lens while reconstructing them with technology as a medium. She was part of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa in 2022 and currently serves as a part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of the Arts.
