Emanuele Coccia
Emanuele Coccia is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris, after a time as Assistant Professor at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau. He was invited as Guest Lecturer at the Universities of Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Düsseldorf, Columbia NY, Weimar and Munich.
Among his books: Sensible Life: A Micro-ontology of the Image (2010, translated in 6 languages), Goods: Advertising, Urban Space and the Moral Law of the Image (2013, transl. in 6 languages), The Life of Plants: A Metaphysics of Mixture (2016, transl. in 12 languages), Metamorphoses (2020) e Filosofia della casa (2021). Together with Giorgio Agamben he published an anthology on the “Angel” in the three great monotheistic religions: Angeli. Ebraismo, Cristianesimo, Islam, 2009.
In 2019 he has contributed to the exhibition Nous les Arbres, at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris.
